“Before Inaaya came along two years ago I was teaching Art and Design, and Graphic Design at college level but I’ve now taken a part time job at an insurance company to enable me to spend more time with her. I’ll be going back to teaching in September when Inaaya goes to nursery full time. Having kids helps you to see the fun side of life: even bath time can be an adventure.
My husband is a fireman so he works two day, and two night shifts per week, the rest of the week we spend as a family. When he’s on nights it’s good to know that even though my family aren’t near by, his parents and my brother-in-law live close enough to lend a hand.
Being a mum is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster but I’ve had lots of experience with my niece so I know all mums feel the same! Anyway I like a good challenge: I’m currently trying to pass my driving test and taking a maths course to brush up on my basic skills.”
